HAIR COVER}

^{HAIR COVER is the topic of an open call announced by The Unknown Man publishing house in December 2021. Artists and authors created images, texts, videos and art objects that expressed the meaning of human hair fr om psychological, cultural, social perspective. The hair in their works is a guide to the past, wh ere the memories of the artists appear. Body hair becomes a play, a landscape and an expression of meta-irony. The hair that was cut off turns mental pain into something material while lost hair forces us to fight fears, stigma and condemnation. Artists are trying to measure time and problems with the help of hair, using it as a full-fledged material for creating their works and are looking for the answer to the question: “Does hair length affect gender identity?”}
